Description

Assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons as a professional. Utilize effective communication and critical thinking to provide quality patient care before, during, and after surgery. Experience challenging coursework with relevant clinical instruction in a variety of surgical settings.

Entrance Requirements

• Adult students only

• Provide proof of high school graduation or GED

• Completed application

• Acceptable score on pre-entrance exam OR on ACT Math and Reading

• Background/sex offender check

• Drug screen (as required)

• Demonstrate physical and mental sustainability as evident by a health history/physical

• Candidates are selected for admission to the program based on an Admission Ranking Scale

Tuition

Approximate cost: $5,300 (in-district)

Cost includes all books, supplies, and fees.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

Financial aid and scholarships available for qualifying students. Senior Scholarships available to qualifying High School Seniors planning to enroll next year.

Employment Options: Hospitals, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Dental Office/ Oral Surgeon, Surgeon’s Office/ Private Assistant, Central Sterile Processing, Veterinarian Office, Sales Representative

Approx. Salary Potential: $12-16/hr.
