This program utilizes the ProStart curriculum that introduces students to careers in food service, and teaches the basic skills and knowledge they need for employment. The curriculum was developed by the National Restaurant Association. Students are prepared to enter the workforce or pursue higher education with a portfolio of skills they have acquired and demonstrated during their work experience. The course includes an internship within the food service industry. Students also have the opportunity to sit for the National Restaurant Association Board Certification Exam.
Entrance Requirements
This program is available at the Muskogee
Campus and is open to high school students and adults
showing a sincere interest and aptitude for this field as a wage-earning
occupation or for those wishing to learn a skill in preparation for advancement
into fields offered in higher education.
Secondary Student Enrollment Information
Students enrolled in a high school located in
the Indian Capital Technology Center school district may apply for admission to
Indian Capital Technology Center during regular high school enrollment periods
and receive a minimum of three hours of credit toward their high school
diploma. There is no charge for high school students.
Enrollment will not be finalized until a tuition deposit of $50.00 has been paid. The deposit may be waived with an approved financial aid award. The deposit is non-refundable after beginning classes.
Adult Student Enrollment Information
IN-DISTRICT TUITION:
Tuition for adult students is $262.50 per
semester for half day and $525.00 per semester for full day, plus any text books
and supplies. Financial aid is available for adult students who
qualify. Prior to admission, an adult student's ability to benefit will be
assessed.
Enrollment will not be finalized until a tuition deposit of $50.00 has been paid. The deposit may be waived with an approved financial aid award. The deposit is non-refundable after beginning classes.
OUT-OF-DISTRICT TUITION: Tuition for adult students is $525.00 per semester for half day and $1,050.00 per semester for full day, plus any text books and supplies. Financial aid is available for adult students who qualify. Prior to admission, an adult student's ability to benefit will be assessed.
Class Times
Students may choose the morning session or the
afternoon session. Adult students may attend both sessions to complete the
course in one year.
